I've been on a bit of a break from blogging, if you hadn't noticed. Quite randomly I went to Raymond's blog, and noticed the mention about timers and dispose. Yes the finalizer does attempt to clean up timers, but it can be a source of bugs and instability if there was a problem cleaning it up. It is far trickier to unhook a wndproc from a finalizer than Dispose()!
